SWS has been advised that Queenwood School where the band rehearses, is enforcing measures based on Department of Education guidelines to prevent any possible contamination by, or spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus). As a result, all rehearsals and performances at the school are now cancelled until further notice. This impacts not only our weekly rehearsals at the school, but also our scheduled first concert for the year, which would have been held at the school in a few weeks time.
Please be patient as we co-operate with the health authorities to help overcome this latest threat to our community. As you are most likely aware, this is actually a global crisis, and events and gatherings such as these are being cancelled across the world.
Hopefully, we will be able to resume rehearsals sometime in early Term 2 (late April/early May). At that time, we will be able to present you with our revised performance schedule. Until then, to all our current and past members, and friends of the band, take care and wishing you all the best! If you do happen to contract COVID-19, our thoughts are with you for a speedy recovery.
