Did you know that Sydney Wind Symphony was first established in 1985 as an activity associated with the International Year of Youth? Since then it has been known as the City of Sydney Bicentennial Concert Band, the City of Sydney Concert Band, City of Sydney Wind Ensemble and is now Sydney Wind Symphony. Even more remarkably there are a number of founder members still performing with the ensemble today!
